May month ALIMCO (Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India) camp for Assessment/Identification of Beneficiaries belonging to all categories of Disability (VI, OH, HI, ID, CP, LA, etc.)

From May 2nd to May 5th, 2023, the Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) organized a camp for the assessment and identification of beneficiaries with various disabilities, including visual impairment (VI), orthopedic handicap (OH), hearing impairment (HI), intellectual disability (ID), cerebral palsy (CP), and locomotor disability (LA). The camp was held at the Mitra Jyothi premises and operated daily from 10 am to 5 pm.
The primary objective of the camp was to provide prescribed aids and appliances to eligible beneficiaries. The ALIMCO team conducted thorough assessments and verifications of the mandatory documents required for eligibility. This meticulous process ensured that the appropriate aids and appliances were allocated based on the individual needs of each beneficiary. Over the four days, a total of 282 beneficiaries were assessed and prescribed the necessary aids and appliances.
The camp exemplified ALIMCO’s commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities by enhancing their quality of life through the provision of essential aids and appliances. This initiative not only addressed the physical needs of the beneficiaries but also contributed to their overall well-being and integration into society
