Donation Credentials
- PAN or Aadhaar Number is required for all donations by Indian citizens. For NRIs/Foreign donors, passport number or Tax Identification number or any other unique Government ID is mandatory.
- Please make sure to enter/provide the correct details – Name, Address, Email ID, Phone No, PAN or Aadhaar or passport number or Tax Identification number or any other unique Government ID. If the email id is mistyped, you may not receive the donation receipt email.
- Please do not enter multiple names in the ‘First Name’ and ‘Last Name’ fields. Make use of the ‘Message from donors’ field to enter additional information, if any.
- For donations made via bank transfer or QR code, please send across the above details to admin.office@mitrajyothi.org
- All Indian donors will receive an 80G donation receipt after successful transaction from admin.office@mitrajyothi.org.
- Foreign donors looking for tax exemption for the donations made can donate via platforms listed to get tax exemption.

As per the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act 2010, of India, accepting donations from an Indian citizen in the FC account is a major violation. Citizenship is the key point for ascertaining a contribution whether it is Foreign Contribution or an Indian Contribution.
Any donation without donor details like unique Id and address are considered as anonymous donations by the Income-Tax Department and subjected to tax at 30% even though we are a Tax-exempt institution.
How to Donate - Indian Citizens/NRIs
You can make a donation to Mitra Jyothi by scanning the QR code and donate through any app like Google pay/ Phone pe/ Amazon/ Paytm etc. and send an email to admin.office@mitrajyothi.org. All Indian donors are eligible to receive 50% tax exemption under section 80G of the Income Tax rules.

How to Donate - Foreign Citizens/International Donors
Please drop us a mail with your details to admin.office@mitrajyothi.org , we will send across bank details over email to make donation.
When a donation is received in our bank account directly (by NEFT — RTGS) we do not get the complete donor details from the bank. Accepting international donations without necessary details is a major violation as per FCRA 2010 Act. Hence the bank details are not given here.
